Deposit and Balances:

DiveXsite is proud of its award winning reputation in offering exciting dive trips and well organized courses.

We work with our boat operators, travel agents, schools and public pools to provide the best value possible. However, to give you the best possible pricing, restrictions are imposed on us by our vendors.

Because of these restrictions the following policies apply to all trip and course reservations made through DiveXsite. Please note; some specific trips may be subject to additional refund/cancellation restrictions in addition to those detailed here.

  1. Bookings made by telephone or email require a 20% deposit to secure your booking. Full payment must be made no less than 8 days prior to the trip date to secure your booking.

Credit Cards:

For any deposit or final balance payable with a Visa or Master Card credit card will incur an additional charge of 2%, we do not except Diners or American Express Cards. This will be added to the invoice value of the booking. DiveXsite reserves the right to vary these charges.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

Unfortunately, we have had people who reserve spots and then not show up or cancel at the last minute. When you make your booking we make a commitment to you that we will have a seat available for you, in return we ask that you will arrive and on time. Otherwise, we disappoint someone else who would have liked your space(s) and DiveXsite still has to pay the vendor for your space. This cancellation policy is to give you and DiveXsite the time to try and re-sell your place for you and help us keep our prices reasonable. Thank you for understanding.

  1. Bookings canceled at any time after confirmation is subject to the forfeit of deposit, including any additional deposits required by suppliers.
  2. We require fourteen (14) days notification if you wish to cancel a course or Liveaboard trip, and seven (7) days for day or weekend trips.
  3. If cancellation occurs more than fourteen (14) days prior to departure, you will receive a refund of your deposits and prepayments, less $30.00 cancellation fee per person.
  4. Bookings canceled within seven (7) days of departure will receive no refund and be liable for full trip costs. This is consistent with airline, car rental, hotel and Dive Boat policies. Some hotel & package features have extra cancellation penalties that may apply.
  5. A re-booking fee of $30 per person may be charged if you keep changing your trip dates.
  6. If the weather is so bad that we are unable to work and provide the services safely. Customers will have the option to receive a full refund or rebook to a later date at no extra cost.
  7. If the weather is rough and you decide not to dive, there is no refund.
  8. If you miss diving (or any other scheduled activity) due to ill health, hangover or diarrhea… Our hearts go out to you, but this will not qualify for any refund.
  9. If after the commencement of your course you fail to attend or complete an organised session or dive, this will result in the student paying for additional make up training costs.

Uncomfortable with our policy? Read on. ...

We apologize for needing to implement these cancellation policies. We try not to punish the many who do not take advantage because of the few who do. Yes we will work with you if you have a true need to cancel your dives, and may credit or refund some of your deposit however, what constitutes a “true need” is determined solely at our discretion.

If this is you....

"I want to keep my options open", often suffer hangovers that preclude diving, frequently develop a strong last-minute desire to do something other than diving, or if you want to see if the sun is shining before deciding to dive, please wait, book when you get here, know that you are ready to dive. We will happily accommodate you if we have space available, we often do not. Such circumstances do not constitute a “true need” and only justify in an eventual rate increase.

This is the purpose of the deposit, to separate those who intend to dive from those who want to wait and see, but still have a spot available for them. Yes people actually do this!

We apologize for any inconvenience these policies may create; we know that those of you who intend to dive will appreciate the diving we offer and have a great time, plus see no need for these policies. Sometimes others forget that their recreation is why we are here; to provide a service for you. It is no different to making a doctors appointment, booking with an airline, or renting a DVD
