SSI ADVANCED ADVENTURER:

Enrolling in the SSI ADVANCED ADVENTURER course is the next step in being a confident and successful diver. During the program you will have the chance to try out 5 different specialties. You will complete one open water training dive per specialty in order to get a better understanding for each specialty. It will take you deeper into diving, improve your navigation and introduces you to a whole new area of recreational diving. You choose the specialty and under the close supervision of a dive professional you go out and do it! This course is all about diving and having fun. No classroom sessions, no long lectures, just diving. The only test for this course is to come back. So sign up now and let’s go diving!




Our Advanced Adventurer program is designed to give you an insight into 5 areas of scuba diving …

The program has been designed so you can experience advanced diving without the full theory component or exams!!
To obtain your SSI Advanced Adventurer Diver Certification you just need to complete 5 dives of your choice from the SSI specialty range. You will then complete one training dive per specialty to help you get a better understanding of that specialty area. 

The SSI Advanced Adventurer can be completed in one weekend or spread out to suit you.

The specialties to choose from are:

  • deep diving
  • drift diving,
  • navigation,
  • night diving,
  • boat diving,
  • computer diving,
  • marine / eco diver, 
  • perfect buoyancy,
  • search and recovery,
  • underwater naturalist,
  • underwater photography, 
  • wreck diving, and others

Please note: WH&S recommends that each person uses their own personal snorkelling equipment to reduce the possibility of disease transmission. Snorkelling packages are available from us for hire or purchase and at special student discount rates.

The Requirements

  • Minimum age 15 year
  • Hold an Open Water Certification
  • Log book proof you have completed a dive within the last 12 months, if not a refresher course is recommended. It can be also be combined with the Advanced Adventurer course.
  • Full payment must be made before course begins
  • A dive slate
  • At least one dive torch, if you are doing the night dive.
WH&S requires ever diver to carry their own visual and audible signaling device. These are supplied in all our hire BCD’s, if you are using your own equipment please make sure you have a whistle and “safety Sausage”.
