Our Social evenings are the first Wednesday of each month for our members and guests.
We try to have a variety of fun at our evenings.

• videos or slides
• guest speakers of interest
Our social nights are always a good way to catch up with the latest news, upcoming trips or just keeping in touch with your diving buddies.
A Live aboard Trip is simply a boat trip that you stay on for an extended period of time, usually over 1 or 2 nights and mostly occur during the weekends.
These trips can be arranged for groups or singles, it is just a matter of giving us a call.

Ocean Cat:
The NEW Ocean Cat is a 40 ft Cat that caters for up to 12 divers with ample seating space for your comfort. It has a toilet & shower on-board, a spacious galley, TV & Video and a nice deck area for sunning. Ocean Cat heads out to the beautiful Flinders Reef and Moreton Bay Marine Park and visits sites that are not frequented by other dive vessels. Morning tea and lunch is provided along with your 2 dives. We will provide you a courtesy bus, 2 tanks and weight belt for you to enjoy fun filled day.
Our bus departs from our shop at 6am.

There is always something unexpected to see at the "Tweed" with tidal movements the area is constantly changing.
At present there is a resident octopus, turtle and eagle ray which can be found on most high tide dives, along with the usual "attractions".
For this dive we are departing from the shop at 8am, so please arrive at least 15 minutes before hand to load and organise equipment if needed.
We will supply you with 2 tanks for your dives.
Tonight you will be learning all of the information you will need to know in order to become a successful SCUBA diver!
In just a few days you will become a fully certified Open Water SCUBA Diver!
The course starts off with an evening academic session at the dive shop, followed by a day of pool activities, a day of shore dives and finally a day of boat dives.

This trip departs DiveXsite at 9.am and the boat departs from the Fingal boat shed around 11.00am. We will go to the most favourable sites depending on the sea conditions of the day.
Your day will consist of 2 boat dives, a morning tea break of tea, coffee, Milo, or soup with biscuits and cake, before you head back into the water for our second dive.
The facilities at Fingal are awesome in that you can wash your dive gear upon return, have a warm shower and change, we supply you with a lite BBQ lunch and an area to sit and relax before packing up and heading home from the day’s dives.
A Requirement for those SSI Instructors, Snorkel Instructors, Dive Controller Specialists or anyone in a dive professional role.
The course takes you through Oxygen Administration, Decompression, Barotrauma's, First Aid, Injuries, Medical Evaluations, Field Exams, and Field Treatment; all related to diving, us and the role we play as dive professionals.
